BIM Governance

Coordination

BIM Team Building

I define the BIM strategy, author the BEP, establish the CDE, and ensure contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle — whether the infrastructure exists when I arrive or needs to be built from zero.

I manage incoming models from engineering contractors and specialist subcontractors, run clash detection and resolution, and maintain coordination continuity even when upstream design packages keep changing.

I assess resource requirements before committing, build teams calibrated to project scale, and establish protocols that outlast my engagement. I don't just deliver — I leave a functioning BIM environment behind.

€90M Infrastructure — Italy

Kuwait & Moscow — Nikken

Tokyo — AXS Satow

Joined with no BIM infrastructure in place. Built the entire function on a live construction site — hardware procurement, CDE setup on ACC and Dalux, team training, subcontractor coordination, and AS-built model management. Managed four mechanical design iterations across 18 months without losing clash detection continuity.

Three-year delivery of a four-venue cultural complex including a 2,000-seat theatre in Takasaki. Subsequently produced the BIM model of Tokyo Big Sight (55,000 sqm) from original 2D drawings in four days under Olympic deadline pressure.

Embedded within Nikken Sekkei — one of the world's largest architectural practices — on a 127m residential tower in Kuwait City and a seven-building riverside complex in Moscow. Governed outsourced model production, enforced BEP compliance, and managed international client-facing coordination meetings.

Headshot of myself

HOW I WORK

Embedded. Governance-first. Wherever the project is.

I work on an embedded project basis — on-site or hybrid, typically 12 to 24 months minimum, renewable by project phase.

Before committing I assess resource requirements, agree scope of authority, and establish what BIM infrastructure exists or needs to be built. A BIM Manager without adequate team resourcing becomes a bottleneck, not an asset — so I make this conversation happen upfront, for both our sakes.

I learned how to work in the US, not in Italy. I upgraded in Japan. That sequence shaped everything about how I approach a project — the directness, the precision, the expectation that things are done properly the first time.

Available for immediate relocation internationally. Notice period: one week.

WHO I AM

20 years building BIM where it didn't exist.

I started my career on construction sites in Italy, managing works before digital tools were standard. I moved to the US and UK, where I learned a different way of working — direct, delivery-focused, no excuses. Then I spent nine years in Japan, where I upgraded everything — precision, quality obsession, cross-cultural communication, technical excellence at a level most European professionals never encounter.

That sequence shaped how I approach every project. I don't just manage BIM. I build it where it doesn't exist, govern it where it's broken, and leave it running when I'm done.

Career Milestones

Italy - the Foundation

Construction sites, safety coordination, technical direction. Learning to deliver under pressure before digital tools existed.

US & UK - A Different Standard

Lived and worked abroad. Learned directness, delivery focus, and a professional culture that Italy doesn't teach.

Japan — Nine Years

Three years at AXS Satow delivering a four-venue cultural complex and producing the Tokyo Big Sight BIM model under Olympic deadline pressure. Then a Taisei Corporation satellite office, independent BIM consultancy in Tokyo, and guest contributor to JFMA BIM guideline development — sitting alongside leadership from NTT, Taisei, and JP Railway. Joined Nikken Sekkei Group for international developer projects in Kuwait and Moscow, governing outsourced model production and managing client-facing coordination across multiple countries. I was doing BIM management before it was a certified profession. That's not a boast — it's context for why I approach governance the way I do.

Project Manager

Site Construction

I stepped onto a construction site at 17, during my last year of school. Commercial facilities, pre-cast concrete, a 700-person construction company. I learned what building actually means before I ever touched a drawing tool.

Budget, Gantt charts, deadlines — inside a large Italian construction company managing public projects lasting over a year. I learned that delivery is the only thing that matters.

BIM Maturity

Health and Safety Coordinator

Qualified as CSP/CSE under D.Lgs. 81/08. Safety coordination taught me to read a construction site as a system — every trade, every risk, every dependency.

In 2009 I started designing directly in Revit — skipping the AutoCAD drafting path entirely. I never looked back. That decision shaped everything that followed
